How it works, what you get and whether you qualify
What is it?
The government wants to encourage self-employed professionals to move into employment. For employers and clients, that comes with extra costs.
Working as an employee offers more security, both for the person doing the work and for the employer or client. That’s why the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) has made funding available to support employers and clients in taking that step. Platform ACCT uses this funding for Zekere Zaak: a temporary financial contribution for employers and clients who hire a self-employed professional as an employee.
Who is it for?
Zekere Zaak is for organisations in the cultural and creative sector that want to hire a self-employed professional as an employee. Whether you’re part of the target group is determined in part by your SBI code. An SBI code is a four or five digit code that indicates what type of work you do. You received it when you registered with the Chamber of Commerce. You can find it on your Chamber of Commerce extract. More information can be found in the requirements.
What do you get?
Good to know: you can use this scheme multiple times, as long as each application relates to a different self-employed professional.
What can I expect?
1 Application approved?
You’ll hear within two weeks whether your application has been approved.
2 Claiming
You claim the employer costs afterwards. The approval email explains exactly how this works.
3 Payment
You receive a one-off stimulansbonus of €1,000 and a contribution towards employer costs, with a maximum of €8,000.
What you need for your application
Ready?
Got everything to hand? Then you can submit your application now. It only takes a few minutes.
One more thing: this scheme is temporary and has a limited budget. Once the budget runs out, the scheme closes — and will not reopen. So don’t wait too long to apply.
